Hello r2r, this is my very first post here. I bought the new reefer g2 350 liter, and I am wondering If I have everything needed to run a reef tank successfully?

-aquarium with stand and sump

-heater ahem 200e + a 50w

-2x Red Sea reef wave 25 and 45 wave makers

-2x Red Sea led 90

-Red Sea reefer skimmer 600

-Red Sea reef mat 500

-dry or live sand (not chosen yet)

-live or dry rock (not chosen yet)

-reef master test kit

-API Reef Master Test kit (Ca, Kh, NO3, PO4) …

-marin pro reef salt

Looks like you're good to go. You may eventually want to upgrade you test kits as many people complain about the accuracy/precision of the test results. Do you have an RO unit or way to get RO to top off your tank? Live rock would speed up your cycle and a lot of people like adding bottles of bacteria to help as well.

you'll want to consider to get a rodi system to make water.
You'll probably eventually want an auto top-off system.
If you havent bought the API test kit yet then dont bother, get a better kit

I do not have a RO/DI, and I have not been able to find any online. I live in europe, so BRS is sadly not a option

Maybe a fish store near you has RODI water for sale. Either way, when the tank water evaporates you need to top it off with fresh water, not salt. Tap water is considered dangerous by many as it potentially adds elements that are not reef safe. Salifert tests are good and on the cheaper side. I use Red Sea, salifert, and Hanna.

I would exchange a Reefwave 45 for a 25 and just run the pair either along the back on either side of the overflow or on both sides facing inwards. And ditch the API test kit for the Red Sea Marine test kit.
I bought the 45 because I want to have a anemone Ritteri

I prefer the Salifert kits over the Red Sea ones. Both work fine.

Amazon should have a decent RODI unit, have you tried there?

API master kit notorious for false readings. Well worth the cost of Hanna and Salifert kits
