Do I have to level and empty aquarium?

Hey guys,

I just setup my prostar 200 but have not leveled the tank. It is currently empty on the stand in my living room. I don’t plan on leveling it until before I add water. Does it matter that it isn’t leveled at the moment?

No. Might as well do it now just incase you run into any issues.

Level empty, fill 1/4 and check and adjust, fill 1/2 check and adjust, fill 3/4 check and adjust, fill full up check and adjust

Or you could just make sure the stand is level and add a mat or something to let the tank self level

The issue is I don’t have a level long enough And my county has a Stay-At-Home order in place.

I think it's just safer and easier to do it empty, and keep leveling it as you fill it. It's easier to move the shims when it's empty. It shouldn't move very much when filling it if leveled befor.

Yea I understand but the tank is gonna sit there empty for a week or two so Is it okay to “store” the tank unlevel?

What I meant to ask was:
Can I leave the aquarium and stand unlevel for the next few weeks while I gather supplies for the build? Would the tank being unlevel empty affect the structural integrity?

Yea no problem. Mine sat empty on stand for 6 months.

Oh, I would be worried about that. Unless it was way out of level.

Do you have any air tubing?

You can use the tubing to make a water level.

its fine empty and unlevel as long as its nothing crazy you will be fine

I ended up buying a longer level for my tank. Figured it's one of those tools you only buy once and keep for a lifetime.

Set it on each rim lengthways and then across the corners
