Do i need 2 wavemakers?

I am cycling a tank and have until Thursday next week until it's fully cycled with the way things are going and according to my current advice.

My question is do I need 1370gph of flow??? I have 2 480gph wavemakers, my main filter head which is 360gph, and then my uv sterilizer does 50gph.

I'm not sure about the combination of equipment because I'm also adding a 30g skimmer next week. My tank is 36g so I'm wondering if I should move around any of my current equipment or take some out? Thanks.

You're probably not getting 360Gph with your return pump due to height, etc. - but it's most likely plenty. Ideally you want 10-20x from wavemakers, so a single 480Gph wavemaker is probably sufficient. Or if you plan to run both turn them down to 50% max.

No you do not "need" two wavemakers.

I like the cross currents in my tank. I have 2 wave makers in the middle back of my tank that aim across the current from the canister filter returns. There is very little dead area in my tank.

I'll have to test it out with just 1. These little things are powerful but can't be adjusted or put on a timer according to instructions.

I adjusted the one on the right side of tank to flow left and pointed the filter outlet to flow to the right side. Once I turn on UV filter and put skimmer in, there will be plenty of flow for the tall stack of rocks I got. No real dead spots water is moving pretty good.
