I'm building a 40 gallon sump for my 150 and was wondering if I really need bubble traps or if they're just a waste of time. The tank will be using a bean animal overflow so bubbles should be minimal. Planning on a simple design of 8" drain section, 19" skimmer/doser/reactor section, 9" return section, with just a 10" baffle for the drain section and a 9" baffle before the return section. Would this work?
