I am starting a Zoa tank only . I was wondering if I need a powerhead in the tank or will and overflow return be Goodnuf movement for mine Zoanthids .

I guess that would depend on the size of the tank and the zoas themselves. Some like flow some don't.

Agreed. More info is needed to decide. My first instinct is to say "yes" anyway, but it depends on the tank and the return pump and the zoas your keeping. Hmmm.. @joshporksandwic would be a good one to consult on this. Give us the tank and equipment specs please :)

What kind of return pump will you be using? What size and/or specs?

Agreed. I'm thinking you're going to need some additional flow.

Water movement will be good for any coral it allows them to shed themselves of detritus intern improving health. I would say go all out but a little bit of flow is better then non.
