Do I need a refugium?

Hello everyone,

I'm replacing my old sump with a ruby 30E on my 75 Gallon corner reef tank. My tank has one drain line. I'm also a Skimz E-162 protein skimmer.

My question is do I need to setup the refugium? If so what would you suggest for splitting off my drain line?

One other question, I have room for an ATO tank, but have never set one up. Any suggestions on what I need?

Good morning.
You do not have to have a refuge but it's something to consider as a option for handling your phosphates and nitrates with your skimmer.

The Tunze 3155 auto top off unit is top notch and I have ran one for many years.
