I have a 55 gallon with live rock, yellow tang, coral beauty, diamond goby, Picasso clowns, 3 shrimp, a star fish, hermits and snails. I have an aquaclear 110 hob, a sunsun canister filter, and a voyager stream pump. Also just started adding some soft corals. GSP, couple Zoas, hammer coral, torch coral. Everything looks great except my nitrates. Don’t have a sump yet so I was thinking about a hang on the back sump. Any help or suggestions would be appreciated.

I hate to be "that guy" but any plans on upgrading to a bigger tank down the road? I ask because that yellow tang and potentially coral beauty are going to need a bigger home. But to answer your question; with that much bioload I would suggest a skimmer of some sort or your nutrients are going to pile up. Weekly water changes of 10-15% will help :)

yeah going to upgrade in about a year when we move into the new house. I got them small so they would have time to grow. I do weekly water changes for the most part no longer than bi weekly. Any suggestions on a good HOB skimmer?
