Hey guys, my tank isn’t looking too good. I have a bunch of pests in my tank, corals keep dying, and my fish. Do I need a shutdown and how do I go with it? Thanks

Might be a good idea to determine where things went wrong before starting again so mistakes arent repeated.

I think of a tank ever becomes more of an pain than enjoyable, it should be shut down. Potentially restarted in the future, but shut down for now.

A tear down loses the ability to beat the invader on the next go round
At least downsize using the current system, using less fish, before giving up

The redone tank here can be scaped to allow for rock access, hand guiding no need to wait to set it all back up. Use the same system with its bac in place is ideal

If someone is through with the work it takes to reef then I would agree to sell it all off but not in reaction to a challenge

the only way to keep the next investment from being lost is to save this current one

For me I think it was inconsistent water changes. I definitely need to start dipping my corals and cleaning my equipment
