Do I need a TDM tester?

Hello, I setup the 4 stage AQUATICLIFE RO/DI but I'm wondering if I should be testing water before or afterwards? Should I just trust its working? If I need a tester would a HM Digital TDS-3 or HM Digital COM-80 be sufficient?

Testing before gives you an idea how bad of water u working with but not really necessary. Testing at the end consistently to ensure it stays at zero is most important part. Testing in the middle(specifically before and after RO) occassionally can help you figure out when filters need replaced.

I don't know the specific tds tester models u refer to but would assume they are fine. Some random $8 off Amazon works fine for me.
