I have to add ph buffer Red Sea part B kh+ about twice a week to keep my alkalinity and ph at the correct level. I’m not into the stony corals. My tank is only mushroom, gsp, goni, leathers, Kenya, and zoas. I do not have dosing pumps or fancy equipment. It’s all old school.

If you don’t think I need kalk, what would you recommend.

Fresh air to raise pH. Baking soda for alk. You might need some calcium eventually, so some food grade calcium chloride or driveway melt.

it will help if you advise the ph level :)

Baking soda? Never thought of that. Any idea About how much to raise 1dkh?

If you have no stony corals, don’t dose kalkwasser. It’s for adding calcium and alkalinity to your tank, the PH boost is a side effect. You should be good with water changes.

I keep a window cracked all the time, which helps increase PH.

If you run a skimmer pulling air from outside can help with pH. I have a tank in our bedroom that would drop to 7.9 at night. I ran a house up onto the attic to pull fresh air into the skimmer and now pH stays at 8.3 over night.
I’m not running a skimmer. I’m using a massive ball of wine glass macro.
