Do I Need More Flow?

Currently running an Innovative Marine Nuvo 40 with a single MP10.

I have seen builds where they are using a single powerhead, similar to a MP10 or MP40, but I have also seen some with extra flow added as well.

I am looking to do a mostly LPS with eventually some SPS. And I was thinking if I added more flow it would be in the form of a Gyre.

Just wanted some thoughts and opinions.

I started with $7 powerheads and then moved up two 3K and two eflux stream pumps, I like both types so the point is you have to experiment or if someone has the tank setup you like find out what they're using

That'll probably work just fine until you have more corals and such to block flow in the tank. Might also help to incorporate random flow nozzles or spinstreams on your return lines in the tank.

I have RFG nozzles on my 30L so I planned on adding them to this tank eventually as well.

I don't know much about the pumps and wave makers you're using. This isn't a comment about those, nor is it a suggestion on if you do need more flow or not. But someone once told me something that's stuck with me, and it's that "if you have to ask if you have enough flow, you don't have enough flow".
