I have a 75 gallon aquarium like the ones you would by at petco. I am running 2 AI Hydra 32 HD at BRS recommend 14" from top of water and 13" from left and right side and centered at 9"

My question is,
Will this be enough light to eventually venture into SPS? I do have a 3rd Hydra 32 currently on my 29gal. Which is a LPS and softie tank. I could take that light and add it to the 75 and buy a 16 prime. But, would the 16 prime support my 29 tjats already setup with LPS and soft corals?

I'm new to reefing and jumping in head first. My 75 has a triton 34 sump with reef octopus 150ss protien skimmer, icecap 2k gyre, varios 4 return, Theliein? Compact roller, carbon and GFO reactor (which is not in use yet) and a cheap petco heater and a nice heater with a controller and temperature probe which is in the sump. Tank is cycled using Tim's and turbo, dosing 3 cap fulls of microbacter7 daily to semi daily. 3 different kinds of pods in the refugium with sand bed and already cultured live rock. Any tips or recommendations would be much appreciated.

I might add I do non stop research on all of these topics. But I feel real advise from actual readers would be highly beneficial. Thanks in advance!!

Yes more then enough power, be cautious you dont over power your tank. If you found yourself wanting more pop or different spectrum/color you can always add a led bar to supplement your current lights

Get a par meter. A seneye is not expensive and pays for itself after you buying 2 or 3 acropora frags.

As for if light is enough, it also depends on what kind of SPS u going for. Easy ones like montipora, stylophora, birdsnest, anacropora can do fine around 250 par. If you want acropora tho, 250 - 300 is the absolute minimum for only the "beginner" acroporas like green slimers. Anything more "designer" or higher end you'll want 400 to 600. Some of the crazy color you may see on those $300 per frag acros are likely achieved at 600+ par.

As a comparison, my 30g acropora mixed reef has 3 AI Prime + 2 full length xho strips and i get to 400 to 600PAR in the upper half of the tank. 2 ai prime is roughly = 1 hydra.
