I have the phosphate, nitrate, and alk by hanna checkers. Do i need calcium and other stuff right now? Because i just started this tank irs cycling, no corals.

I would be testing alk, pH calcium and magnesium as well as po4 and nitrate. You have other stuff messing with these paramters besides just corals. Monitoring these valuse will give you some idea of what's happening in your system. Starting when your system is cycling establishes benchmarks for long term trends which can be useful for identifying problems (some which can start long before there's any obvious signs in corals).

What magnesium test kit should iget

With no corals, you really don’t need many test kits. Ammonia initially and maybe a nitrate test kit. Once you get into corals…..alk nitrate and phos are the main parameters to check. Calcium and mag are needed periodically.

Really no need to test anything, after some time start testing no3,po4.....

After first corals, depend of type, start testing alk and ph.... Later down the road add ca and mg...

Too many problems when chasing numbers on new tank...
