I would QT inverts if you have a QT and here is why. One day, when I had my 6 gal JBJ, I was on the hunt for more sexy shrimp. Down here they are not always plentiful and I wanted some genetic variation. So I went to one of my LFS's, that I always get inverts from, and I ALMOST bought a couple. Then I noticed that in the bottom of that tank there was a coral banded shrimp twitching and curling up. Then I saw another coral banded upside down twitching in the same tank. In the tank next to it, I noticed a dead porcelin crab twitching and 3 others twitching and starting to curl up and retriet into corners and crevices. In the next tank, I saw another crab or shrimp doing the same thing. I forget what kind it was, but the point is that 3 different species of crab/shrimp were all experiencing the same symptoms. Whether it was something that happened to them during shipment to the store or during acclimation, I have no idea. If anyone knows what that was, by all means I would like to know myself, please enlighten us and inform us of what happened. But ever since then, I QT my inverts.
Tank you for your time,
Kevin
