Hello everyone! I need some help deciding do I need to change my custom built lights. They are two 29watt led tubes (white and blue one). They light is super bright, which is kind a cool, as I can see every little grain on the sand bed, but actually there is only on/off button for the lightning and I have no options for any kind of transitional changes-the light is either on or off. Also, my clowns freak out for two minutes every time I switch on or off the lights…It can’t be good for them…Also, when the tank is more matured, I would like to add some corals and other fishes, so, please tell me do I need to replace the current lights with some full spectrum ones, with options for 24 hour light cycle? Any ideas would be much appreciated! Thank you!

is there way to control the blue and white lights independently, i.e. have the blue come on first and then during evening have the blue turn off last to ease the transition? Otherwise, u can try adding a separate blue light and have that turn on first and turn off last which is how I run my ATI T5 fixture w one blue Reef Brite LED fixture.

Thanks for the reply! Unfortunately there is no separation in controlling the tubes, only one button. But you gave me a really good idea, I could probably add another blue one, which I can turn on first and turn off last.

No worries. Adding blue light will probably help, in my tank when blue light comes on in the evening all livestock know it's time for bed and the corals start closing and fish disappear into rockwork. GL
