Do I need to reset my coral qt timer?

Hey all if I add something new to the coral qt do I need to reset the timer on all the other livestock in the tank? There is no fish in this tank so parasites that need a host cannot complete the cycle and lay eggs on the older stuff in the qt correct?

If you were to follow “correct” QT procedure then yes but I have never quarantined a coral in my life.
