I've had some lyretail anthias in QT for about 37 days now.. 30 of those have been in 0.5 mg/L Cupramine.

They are looking great, eating great.. and ready to go into my display tank.

I know you are supposed to slowly increase the copper to the recommended levels (i did mine over about 7 days).. But do you have to do the same in reverse? I was thinking about just taking them out of QT tonight and putting them in my main tank after the lights turn off.

Or would it be better to do water changes in my QT tank over the next few days to reduce the Cupramine?

I usually do a 50% water change to drop the copper levels in half. Then the next day do it again. So at that point you'll be at 25% of therapeutic range. Then start using Cuprasorb or carbon. Then observe for 10-14 days.
Big fan of Cuprasorb. Can re-use it by recharging the media with plain old muriatic acid. Wear eye and mouth protection, gloves always when recharging the acid.

As long as the salinity and temp are the same as the display you shouldnt have a problem moving them right into the display. Thats what i have always done with no problems. I also like using an acclimation box for a day or 2 just to see how the other fish will react.

I have moved my fish straight into my dt from a qt with therapeutic copper. I stick the fish in a bucket, acclimate it to the new tank, catch it in a net, rinse any copper off the fish, and plop it into the tank.

That's basically what I did... they seem to be doing great.
