Hello everyone, I own a bc 29 that I do a 5 gallon water change every 5 to 6 days. Since I do this so frequently, do I need to test my water other then salinity? If I should be testing, then what would you test for?

I would test your rodi for tds. Depending on your bioload I would still test. I have a 30g AIO And I test Alk,Mag,Cal and nitrates, Nitrites and p04 I also do 10% weekly water changes. I guess it all depends on what you want to keep. Mine is sps so I like to keep things clean

Yes you need to test for nitrate, phosphate, alkalinity, calcium and magnesium If you plan on housing corals. Water changes are great but sometimes that is not enough to maintain proper parameters to raise corals.

IF YOU HAD TO TAKE A REEFING EXAM, WOULD YOU PASS?
