Hi, I'm fairly new to this forum.. I'm posting on this thread because I need an answer on this topic as soon as possible, thank you!!
I purchased a long tentacle anemone, no lie in a very impulse purchase manner... but I've been researching a lot on caring for it, and I'm just nervous about it surviving in my tank even if I try as careful as I possibly can. The last few days have been a huge pain because the powerhead kept blowing the little guy out of the position I placed him in, then I read it needs to be placed in deep sand.. So I did that, without any success because it would just climb out every time even if I left the powerhead off.
As my final attempt, I just placed him in between some rocks hoping he would just stay, and it has finally attached itself in-between the rock work.. for now at least. I'm not fully sure if it is actually sticking, earlier this morning the anemone's foot wasn't even a tad bit sticky, but it looked fairly healthy and colorful so I'm not fully sure if it's just sitting there because the current pushes it between the rocks or if it is actually sticking.
My current concern is that the tank is only 3-4 weeks old, finished cycling and it is a 13.5 gallon fluval evo... will this anemone become too large to be in the front display of my tank? Would it be better to return it, and consider the thought of owning one sometime later? And if so, would a bta be better suited for my tank if I were to get one in the future for my 2 clowns? Thank you
