As the title says, do lettuce nudibranch eat brown diatoms? I know they eat hair algae but I don't have any at the moment.

I dont' believe so. If you want diatoms gone badly, you can siphon some out or use a turkey baster. Diatoms are a natural part of the reef cycle, and I recommend you leave them be. Considering you are new to Reef2Reef, I assume your tank is new. You will probably have two diatom blooms in your first year. I had two in my first 9 months.

Nope. Not great algae eaters honestly. There’s a type or two of hair algae that they eat, and that’s about it.

NO.
For diatoms: Cerith snails, Nerite snails , Trochus snails and Astraea snails
