Do my clownfish own my tank?

I had a pair the female bullied the male he would have new wounds everyday. I got rid of em traded them to my LFS if you want free reign to add fish I would do the same. And if you want clowns in the future add them later on when the tank has some other fish. Or add smaller clowns. Also add them with an anemone so they can host it. Once clowns have an anemone they seem to cool off.

As long as the fish do not come close to the nem. Then they just ward them off. However, sounds like you are not ready for a nem yet. Give your tank time and maybe eventually. They will try to host in other corals like your toadstool and frogspawn.

I had a female alone with a nem and she attacked every baby I tried to put with her.

So the fish died, I thought you meant the nem died overnight. Oops. If she has a nem, take the pair and nem out and separate and add back in after the other fish. Should work.

Feed before you add new fish
Add two or three fish at a time
Change rockwork a little if you can this creates new territory and gives all fish a better chance of finding homes

I would suggest trading your clowns with new clowns + all

Thing is she has an anemone though but I might try to quarantine her when I add new ones

That's the problem....I've noticed that they become very territorial once they establish that relationship with an anemone

As long as the anemone is there and they are hosting or being hosted....they will keep up being territorial, as per previously mentioned suggestion(s), it wouldn't be a bad idea either trading them for new clowns or removing them from your system to a holding tank for a little while (if available) and reintroducing them after your new fishes are established.

A six line wrasse is a suggestion, they have attitude, don't go hide in substrate and in my experience seem to do good with clowns. I have a Clarkii's set and she killed everything entering the tank, even attacks new corals. The six line I was told to add had no problem and actually hangs with my Clarkii's during the day

My pair of frostbite clowns just killed my six line wrasse his 2nd night in the tank
