Do my clownfish still have parasites?

I exposed my reef to some type of worm parasite and brook. I lost my tang(the root) and have been treating my other fish in a QT while display tank is running fallow.


I treatment was

Dip in paraguard

follow by 15 days of
Metroplex in water
Api gen cure in food

After treatment i put in clean qt with no
Meds for a week and seeing this which i think is the parasites.



In my opinion the parasites are still there but no brooke. My plan going forward is to treat the water with the API gen cure for 2 weeks instead of the food then re-evaluate.


Please let me know if im wrong.

I have metroplex,focus,api gen cure,kana plex,paraguard, and cupramine on hand.

Most definitely intestinal parasites, sometimes can take 3 weeks or more of the General Cure to get rid of them. I use a bit higher dosage (2 scoops GC + 1 scoop focus+ 1 tablespoon of food), also make sure that you aren’t adding a lot of water to the mixture, as it can dilute the meds. You want it to be like a wet “slump”, not a soup.

Another option, is soaking food in fenbendazole.

3.5 weeks with the higher dosage api in food and im still seeing the stringy white poop.

Switching to fenbendazole and giving that a go.

The directions on the Fenbendazole say to add to water . Am i supposed to be using to medicate the food or go with the water this time?

For internal parasites, you’d want to soak the food. It’s 1 scoop fen per 1 scoop of focus per tablespoon frozen.

Wanted to do a quick update in case it can help anyone out with same problems.

The Fenbendazole seems to have done the trick and eliminated whatever parasite it was.
