None of my rockwork connects to my glass or back wall, and my snails have worked their ways into the back wall area, the tops of the glass and on my return pump and wavemakers.

I don't think I've actually seen any of my snails on my rockwork in so long - should I keep pulling them off my glass and placing them on my rock if I'm needing some algae eating?

You can try...maybe they dont like the algae you have growing.

If you have enough snails, there should be very little consumable algae in the tank.

My rockwork situations are similar to yours, the snails tend to stay on the wall and glass during the day and at nighttime they seems to climb onto the rocks more.

Definitely don't have enough snails for the water volume, but the ones I do have spend way too much time on the glass where I can easily remove the film algae - I'd rather them get rid of the fuzzy crap on the rocks if they can

What kind of snails do you have?

Ive noticed the best rock grazers and the most active are giant mexican turbos.

I had 4 huge ones in a 40 that took care if the remainder of green hair algae that couldnt be removed with my fingers.

Potentially trochus but there's only 4 in my Reefer 170 at the moment lol, some were killed by my blue leg hermit and I havent been able to get my hands on anymore yet.

I'll have to look out for the mexican turbos. i have one snail that is HUGE and I have no idea what it is but he's never once been on the rock, I'll try get a picture of it when i am home

When I had my GHA jungle I would hand place my turbos and urchins in the jungle and force them to eat their way out to freedom.
