Mine look like that early morning and late night. What are your current params? (Sal, Alk, Cal & Mg)

Yes, params please. Any changes in the tank recently? How long have they been like this? The one on the right doesn't look particularly abnormal to me. The one on the left looks a little annoyed haha.

Sal 1.025
Cal400
Mag??
Alk??
I will do the alk now but i do not have a mag test right now I did have a spike in nitrates and nitrites a few days ago bc I used fritz 9 .They have went back to normal now but maybe they went back to normal to fast. I just took the 2 pics i posted

Yeah, I would wait a few more hours to see if they get to what you want to them to look like. I know at 2 hours of lights being on in my tank, my frogspawn is still alittle small

Agree with salty 1972, they just don't look happy, I think they look healthy though. Your just not getting full extensions from polyps, kinda like they got thawacked with to much light or a small change in water quality. Wouldn't do anything to drastic yet. Think has there been any change in the last 48hrs doses something or changes light? Good luck.

Ok so

Calci=480
Alk 15.0
I used the salifert alk test and the siringe barley had and of the kh-ind left in it

I have the fluval 13.5 with stock lighting and they are placed near the top you think they are getting to much light??

Alk #s seem awful high. Retest to make sure it wasn't test error. And DSC mentioned stir up salt mix before adding to water for next water change, sometimes salt settles in buckets and ingredients separate.

Reef Crystals does mix to an unusually high 13 dKH, but it's unlikely that your Alk is 15 on water changes alone. Most likely, there was error in the test. Test again and see where you end up. If you have other corals and coraline algae, your tank will deplete Alkalinity at a fairly stable rate.

When we started dosing 2 part a year ago, we targeted 10dKH and had some corals (frogspawn and duncan's) that were unhappy. When we relaxed the target to 8.5, everything seemed much happier - better extension, more vibrant colors, and more growth. We started mixing Instant Ocean and Reef Crystals to get a lower Alk & Ca in the mix so we don't get a spike during water changes.

What are your NO3 & PO4 parameters?

Ok so I figured what was going on I must have got a bad batch of salt from instant ocean reef crystals mixed up a fresh batch tested the alk and it was 14.5 took a smaple to my LFS same results
