Today I looked in my tank and I saw what looks like mold on my rocks.
these rocks are 5 months old I just upgraded my old tank to a new tank and brought over all the rock and water, got new sand. Its a red sea reefer 350, 73DT and 18sump. filtration is filter sock and some bio balls. I also have carbon in the other filter sock holder. Using RODI water and Instant Ocean reef salt. I just started to dose Reef Trace from Seachem on Monday. Last test is below, I use API to test.
Temp 78
PH 8.4
Salinity 1.025
Calcium 440
PO4 0-.25 (closer to 0)
NO3 0-5 (closer to 5)
Carbonate 214
I haven't tried to remove it yet as I didn't want to make is worse by spreading it through the water. After the switch I have seen some neon green and brown algae pop up on the dry rock I just put in.
