So I purchased some JF mohican suns from a local guy. They had been in the back of his frag tank and were very tall. I have since moved them higher, in my tank. They have stopped stretching and now appear to be obese little piglets when they're closed. Like martini olives. It's adorable but I worry: Am i feeding them too much or is this simply the result of not stretching? I target feed either a small amount (10ml for 55g tank) of reefroids or phytoplankton, -or- broadcast feed yellosno or marine snow, on different days so they are getting a wide variety of food over time.

They stretch for more light. If they are fat they probably will grow another head soon.

You can say that again! Definitely growing more heads... All the smaller ones are within the past month since I purchased him. So chubbiness is not an issue then? They honestly look like they could just burst any moment. I was concerned something was wrong.
