Do not buy a Hydra

I just thought I would share my horrible experience with my hydra twentysix HD. The light itself is pretty decent but the MyAI software is probably the worst app I have ever used. Anytime you want to make changes to your schedule or lighting, the app never picks up the Hydra. It just keeps saying there are no lights connected. In order to make changes you have to delete the current profile and create a whole new and reprogram everything. Even after you delete the profile it still says there are no lights available to connect to so then you have to reset the light itself. For the amount of money I spent on this light I truly wish I never bought it. It is such garbage.

Anyone else have these issues with their Hydra?
 
Just hooked up three last night.
I also had some issues.
But was eventually able to get all 3 to sync.

Had to delete all from app.

Then clear all 3 units by holding button on back for 10 seconds or till light turns solid red.

Then delete any that show up on your WiFi.

Re boot you phone or what ever device you have program on.

Then I just started fresh.
And this worked for me.

I have two and really like Hydra 26 HD's once I got the hooked up. in the end I finally call tech support and they walk me through connecting them and I have not had an issue since.
 
I run 2 of them on my tank. The only "issue" I had was when I added the second. I couldn't just add it, I had to delete all lights from the app, factory default the lights and then add them at the same time. Other than that, they've been pretty slick and I'm happy with them.
 
I have a Hydra 52 HD and haven't had an issue with it. The app is a little less than what I would expect it to be for the price of the light though.
 
I've got 2 hydra 26hds. I started with one then recently added another. I just clicked "parent" and it synced right up with the new light. No problems at all

Yeah it worked perfectly when I first set it up but now if I don't open the app for like a week and try to go and change something I get all of these issues. I see on the reviews in the play store that some other people were having the same issue. I guess I will reach out to their support center and see if they have any ideas.
 
Try connecting to it directly via a web browser rather than an app.
 
I've never had a problem with them. In fact I'm fixing to buy another one since I upgraded my tank. I did have problems with it connecting but after I reset my wireless router it worked perfect since. In my opinion the excellent lights.
 
The only time I had this issue with the myAI app is when I tried connecting to the light via the Local option. As soon as I switched to Cloud, all issues went away. I love my light, only issue i've had so far is with AI's customer support. I woke up one day and my light was totally bricked, couldn't figure out what was wrong. I submitted a request for assistance form on their website, had to fill out serial number, where I bought it, date of purchase, what the problem was, etc. Never heard a word from them. I did eventually figure out what was wrong, but I was quite disappointed by the lack of communication.
