So I just received a phone call from a Marine Depot representative regarding an issue I am currently having with my Skimmer I purchased in May 2020 ( AquaMaxx ConeS DCQ-2 Controllable In-Sump Protein Skimmer). I am receiving error Code 01...she is researching it...( I have the skimmer in 8.5 inches of water). However, the representative is recommending NOT Plugging the Skimmer into the Apex Energy Bar....It took me off guard when she said that...Anyone else heard of NOT plugging Skimmers into the Apex?

Did she say why? That would be the very first question I would have asked after receiving that advice.

NO she didn't...but she also said "I do not think you are suppose to plug that skimmer in the Apex"...I said since when? It worked for 4 months...only recently this started happening...she is going to go back to Aquamaxx to see what they say...that was a first for me as well...Never Heard of it b4

I think that she just made that recommendation as a shotgun approach without knowing really anything. Operative words, " I don't think you are supposed to plug into Apex..." Very unlikely the Apex is the issue.
