Do people actually read thru the thread before they post?

Or do they just push thru their answer and not see what others wrote.

I personal try to .. I see the orange banner when someone else is posting.. stop and read what the say.. and then edit my post, if need be.

If I'm vested in replying I take the time to read first.

If I see a title and that thread is already to deep I move on. At that point it's handled or in progress I figure. If someone thinks I may be of use I can be tagged. Which is what I try to do when I answer a thread and think of someone else to chime in.

I have the same approach with you and the orange bar!

I find humor in the threads that go for 4-5 pages even though they were solved on page 1/2 and then conversation continued or evolved, and someone comes in with the solution all over again on page 6when the involved parties have already moved on.

Human behavior.

I do read through to decide if what I have to say might be of value and contribute to the discussion, vs only read the OP and respond.

A lot of times somebody who is a newcomer will pull an old thread and ask their related Q on that one, which isn’t the worst thing ever but it annoys me so much lol. B/c then like 5/10 responders will read the old OP and respond to that.

I prefer the Radions over the Hydras but either will work

there is a lot that goes on .. but there are specific questions.. that can have valid debate.. I think sometimes and I am a newb.. fall into it..

But sometimes we assume people have a certain knowledge and as a question that looks like they do .. but really dont.

One of the 3 on the last couple days i have been tagging and post along

Answers were directed to the topic and right .. but if read would understand that the question in the topic was wrong.

Have been guilty of not reading through. However bigger question is if you have a different opinion how do you post it without causing an argument with someone, and leaving the person who asked frustrated? Just on one where a person told the new member gate valsves are the way to go. I use ball valves, or if I want to regulate I use gate. So what do you do have the new person whishing they never asked? I see threads going in such off topic tangents it is disappointing to say the least.

Laughs in tl;dr

I try to. Sometimes I don't see the view new replies bar at all as I use a phone and the text box + keyboard takes up the whole screen.

If I see a ton of replies I normally don't even open the thread unless it is something that I need answered.....otherwise I assume the original question has been answered many times in the thread already.
