do people glue scolys to rocks?

So i have a green and purple scoly that likes to float away if i turn my MP40 on it. Flow gets under it and it just floats away a few inches. So I was wondering if people glue them to a piece of rubble rock or anything? Or do I just need to keep flow from touching it. I don't handle the scoly much but it does feel to have a hard spot on the bottom middle... The rest of it just feels like a giant booger.

I’m pretty sure that’s a meat coral and not a scoly. I would try to place it in a low flow area or put some rocks around to ease the flow from hitting it.

Agree with meat coral (Acanthophyllia deshayesiana) I would not attempt to glue that coral. Move the coral to a lower flow area or like suggested, place rocks nearby it. There flesh is sensitive so be careful. It looks happy.

Yeah its happy I've had it for a year. I just was going to put a little more flow in my tank and if my MP40 is on even lowest setting this coral gets flow under it and you can watch it lift up and drift away. My current tank is a 93g cube so the MP40 is just too strong I guess. I'm working on setting up a 210 so ill save the Mp40s for that tank and I can block the coral with some rock if needed to.
