Do redsea reefers go on sale?

So what's going on reefers?? I am looking to up grade my nano a little bit and pick up a red sea reefer 250 or 350. The thing is I noticed almost all sites have them listed at the same price.. which makes me think red sea makes all their retailers sell them for the same price.. anyways I'm not in a huge hurry so I can wait for a sale .. that is if they go on sale.. if they dont I would rather just buy one now.. so any ideas if these things go on sale???

MAYBE, at xmas. Otherwise, they only go on sale on craigslist.
They are a MAP product like many in this hobby.

Go to a few LFS in the area or vendors on your local forum and ask around. You may be able to get 10 to 15% off.

Do you have a LFS that sells them? I might know of a LFS that discounts below MAP. He's doing this on his own though so I won't say which store lest he get in trouble. The online stores definitely deviate from MAP on everything Red Sea but the tanks. LFS are prohibited from doing this which stinks for them. That's why my particular LFS discounts the tanks, to gain a loyal customer base that's willing to pay higher for supplies that he can't discount. So if you have a LFS that sells RSR tanks, check to see if they'll budge on price. You might be surprised...

dang this is what i was afraid of.. that was my plan to hit up the Lfs and see if I can get a deal and order all my supplies at once ..

I bought mine last year at around Labor Day. There are MAP sales a few times a year. I think its usually 10% but then you get some 'bonus' stuff. Test kits, small Red Sea Colors, extra filter socks etc. I also got a livestock credit from the LFS I got it from. If I'm not mistaken there are some sales on them going on now. I'm sure I saw sale prices online at a few places. LFS usually have sales at the same time.
