Do test kits truely expire?

I have a few Red Sea Alk/Ca/Mg Pro Test Kits on hand which have an expiration date in the next couple of months this year or have just passed. Are these test kits basically useless/inaccurate after they past their expiration date or can I still use them with confidence?

Not sure how accurate the expiration dates are but I was using an expired kit and I was getting false readings. I was going crazy until I took a sample into my lfs they tested and the results were different. So I bought a new kit and my results were accurate.
