I posted this in the ID section but I'm not really looking for the sub species acropora names, I'm curious if any has what looks like these in their tank.

I got them from Hugo (SniperSPS) March of last year in a trade and he said the first one came from Reef Raft and the 2nd came from Cherry but he didn't have a names

Just curious-thanks in advance for any help

Here is the booger when I first got it

and here is it is now-the piece is yellow not green these pics were taken in two differently lit tanks and tough to adjust white balance-

Anyway just curious-TIA

.

Guess it could also be their "Aussie Passion Fruit". Here are pics of Cherry Corals mother colonies from their facebook page. Either way it seems to be one of the passion fruits from CC.

Totally looks like the first piece, of course it'll need to grow a lot more but that looks exactly like what I see in my tank just a smaller version.

greatly appreciate the info.

Its the first acro I really am curious about its not like any I've seen and the pink with yellow tips is crazy sick-I don't see those colors often

agree. thats a cool one. like a staggy version of the pacman lol

Beautiful no matter what! :)

Just for further reference the Aussie PF has a much tighter growth pattern........2nd pic above.

The original PF( first pic above)..........the branch sprouts are spaced out to an extreme that isn't as pronounced in pictures. The growth pattern is truly unique when you see it 3D with your own eyes.

They both have a lavender type colored skin.............the coralites can be yellowish or green.

Truly appreciate all the responses everyone, Thank you!

Without question mine is nothing like pic2 and it may be similar to pic 1 but I won't know for sure until it gets larger. I would never call it CC Passion Fruit either as I dont have lineage to support such name, I would however call it the "RNJ Passion Fruit" :)

RNJ being short for Reefnjunkie :nerd: I've got quite a few RNJ pieces

Its the first one I really like, the second is neat but the first on my opinion is the real beauty.
