Do you buy more stuff than you will ever need?

Yep, lots of things extra. In case items. You never know what the hobby will throw at you. I do go through it every so often (year or two) and get rid of thing I will not use. Boy, that pile is usually low. I like DIY and use whatever is around.

I have T5 and MH, so when bulbs go on sale, I stock up. Usually only a year worth though. Salt, I buy a 200g mix when I am almost done with my current one. Sometimes I end up with an extra if good sale.

I do have an extra spare return pump that my hubby declared too loud during testing, so have to find a buyer for that. It is too heavy to ship.

I spend way too much time every week in my huge saltwater aquarium junk bin. Sad to say 9 times out of 10 I find something that will work just fine

Nope I am a horder I still have my first blueline exterior water pump 120 volt. I pretty sure its old enough to drink and smoke now.

Wow. I need you at my house. Impressive

I have gradually built up several backups of almost everything. Backup tanks, lights, filters, heaters, return pumps. I didn't set out to have all this extra stuff, I've just slowly acquired a ton of aquarium related products. I feel confident that I can handle any equipment surprises or failures.I've thought about reselling some of it or giving it away but i'd rather keep the peace of mind that comes with having backups.

IF... you are impatient and always searching for a "MAGIC BULLET". YES! There is no magic. I'm so guilty of this.. It can be an endless buying spree! I'm learning though.

yes and no I have a lot of power heads because it took me like 10 different one to find the right flow for the and I still have all the old ones boxes I have all the old boxes of stuff I bought with the old stuff in them pumping have lots of that to I did get rid of all my stuff from my 29 when I got the 180 up and running

Yep, I am a reef horder for sure. I have back ups for my back ups. Redundancy for basically everything. Lots of stuff that I will probably never use.

Better to be over prepared than under (at least that's how I justify keeping the stuff). Haha. Nothing sends a greater shockwave of panic like a failed pump, powerhead or thermometer and Murphy's Law dictates it will happen when all of the stores are closed. LOL
