Do you check ORP ?

Someone told me once that an orp probe should be as far away from a ph probe as possible. That it would give false readings. Anyone else have any input?

I just moved my ORP probe away from ph probe last night and my ORP was reading around 300 with a lil ozone runing I did a 20 g water change last night as well so I'm not sure what made my ORP jump to 350 over night but I thing it was the move because I did another water change last week also 20g and ORP didn't go up at all

recently set up a RK lite w/ ORP probe. after a week settle in it reads 245. add an air pump n airstone in sump, extra 20-25 points at reading. tune to skim very wet, didnot make any change. extend a skimmer air line to outside a stand...WOW...big change. another 30 points pumped up over night....
As right now it reads ~+300, its reduced between 10-15 points when feeding and also at daylight. as some-one states here, when something dies or decays in ur tank, this number will drop BIG TIME if u have ORP probe.
Reading off on line, ORP in range 350-400 is a best. thinking to myself to set up a ozone, but on secnd though there is pros and cons about ozone system i still did not understand. so i give it some time to see how thing turn out....

i have an ozone unit setup on my apex, it has been keeping my orp stable at 420... great polyp extension on sps

I have an ozotech unit from BRS and keep my ORP from 430-450 with my apex. I have a lot of fish and feed heavy. My ORP probe and my Ph probe are within inches using the same probe holder and as far as I'm concerned my numbers are correct, or close enough. When I first started getting numbers my ORP was at 260 and it took a month and a half to raise it up to 450. My Ph reads from 8.15-8.3 from morning to night.
