Quick question to those without a sand bed, do you clean it?

Obviously we siphon it etc but do you actually scrub it like you do the glass? Pics of mine below - new tank and I'm thinking whether I should bother

I gave up. Eventually corals will cover it. Coralline will cover it and other unknown stuff. Too much of a pain. I just put a powerhead in to kick up detritus before water changes

Haha that's what I suspected, like a lot of things in the hobby, there's no point starting something if you won't carry on. You got a pic of what the coralline covered bottom looks like?

I hit my bare bottom with an MJ1200 pump regularly to blow out the detritus. It is an AIO and I put filter pads on the back side of the overflows when I do it.

My lights are ramping down so hard to take a good pic. All that stuff is caked on.
