Mines been running for 2yrs now and I've yet to clean it. Got fuzzy algae growing on the fuge walls. Chaeto growing like crazy. All walls covered in coralline.
Should I do a deep cleaning? LMK please [emoji2]

if it ain't broke, don't fix it!

I just like to keep my front window clean.

I am only planning on cleaning my skimmer area and my return area the refugium I'm going to let things grow

I clean the inlet section and return pump section only because I can see detritus build up there, I don't touch the refuge section.

Somethings outta whack. Algae growth all over my DT rock. Started developing when I added my Radion Gen3 in March. Even my sock has green on the outside of it.

Yikes!
Tested p04?
What about the rest of your sump.... have a lot of detritus build up?
What spectrum are you running on the Radion? How many hours and intensity? What were you running previously?
Could just be coincidence but I'd start with the change in lighting as a possible cause.

PO4 & NO3 have been acceptable if not undetectable since forever. No detritus buildup as I've been using socks plus an over sized skimmer. Was bi-weekly 12% WC, now weekly.
I was running a 180w black box, blue/white only.
ATM I'm running the Coral Labs LPS/Mix schedule. 9hrs a day 51% max intensity. Light is 11" from waters surface. Just recently I've turned off the red/green completely. That's all I know about changing the spectrum-lol.
