So my clowns have been in the tank a little over 6 weeks or so. I recently noticed a few pods popping up the last couple weeks. Went from a few here or there and then bam hundreds if not thousands on each pane of glass. I feed pretty heavily to keep nitrates up and trying to get phos readable. I have noticed my male clown will constantly pick at the back glass and the rock work. The female will pick at the rocks right around her cave.

They can and will definitely eat pods. However, they're not picky with food and typically eat anything edible that floats by.

Keep nitrates up? I’m know I’m a noob but why would you want to do this?

I’ve done my research and it seems I want to keep 5-10ppm nitrates and .03-.1 phosphate to keep most of my corals happy. I’m mainly running lps with very limited sps (this monti and a couple birds nest later).
