Do you dose aminos? Should I start?

I dose Aquavitro Fuel, 2ml day, in my 65g, two years now. (Plus iodide, strontium and vibrant)
No change in nutrients level (N=5, P=.1)
Better color, extension and growth of flesh after about 3 months.

I started a few weeks ago. Keep in mind allot of the Aminos need refrigeration after opened.

I dose everyday RedSea A B 40 ml but running around 200 gallons of tanks full up. It is one of the single best things you can do , but make sure your ease into it to allow the system to stay balanced.

i actually have the Elos omega Aminos and Elos skimmer (carbohydrates) it says dose daily.... dosing every single day sound right? or are you guys dosing a couple times a week?

I was dosing Brightwell's CoralAmino until I had a cyano outbreak then I stopped. My nitrates were 16 and po4 was 0.04. I might give it another try at a later date. If you do start dosing please share your results with us

How long did your outbreak last? What did you do to fix it? I'm in the same boat, no4 @ 0.5 and po4 @ 0.05 and have cyano pretty bad. I've been adding in Microbacter7 and stopped AA's, but haven't seen a big cyano reduction yet.

Raw egg has a lot of amino acids and chlorella powder does too. I feed probably within 24 hours 5 ml of raw egg with 1/4 teaspoon of powdered algae. the reason I use these two , 1. is cost and 2. combine these two and you have a lot of amino acids and the powdered algae is very tiny 2 to 10 microns. my corals are NPS , so I wonder how SPS corals would react

I stopped dosing aminos altogether. Water changes every week instead of every two. Cranked up my flow. Cleared up in about 3-4 weeks.

I started dosing aminos about a month ago, I have been soaking my last feeding of the day in about 10ml of aquavitro fuel. I have seen improved coloration and more PE during feeding. My Dendrophyllia really comes out when I dose aminos, even without food. I sort of do feel they do best with food and not dosed directly to the water column, this is vaguely based on Dr. Gerdes discussion on the RNN podcast. I would love to hear arguments for either way on this. My understanding is they get aminos from food in the wild not directly from the water column. I am going to have to try @Dr. Dendrostein 's suggestion of Raw eggs, perhaps mixed with other varieties of coral foods.

I've not done a lot of reading on the science behind amino acids and corals. However, I have a single dosing pump that I'm not using and got to thinking that maybe dosing aminos would be a good use for it.

What do I need to know if I'm thinking about dosing aminos?
Do you dose?
How much is too much?
What are the benefits?
Any drawbacks?
If it’s not broken, don’t fix it. Are you having nutrient problems with your coral?

I see a few people saying they dose amino and carbohydrates. I switched to quantum brand as soon as it hit the us market. Think I was one of the first consumers to try it actually and have had amazing results with them. Better color and growth. I have never dosed aminos before and I started right around the same time I switched salts so it may be coincidental but their bioenhance is very well received by others that have switched to them as well. The thing that really separates them from most I think is that the bioenhance is a mixture of aminos fatty acids and carbohydrates. I highly recommend looking into them and check out their facebook page the q. I'm not associated with them just love their products lol.

I dose amino once a month of l just to promote some growth and color. I run a ultra low and honestly just feed apriority in my system to keep it all happy. I have never ran into a negative dosing amino but I could imagine it not being a good thing.

I add* aminos & carbs daily. I see absolutely no drawbacks and a ton of benefits. My coral growth took off crazily after adding these. You primarily see the growth in polyps/polyp extension instead of skeletal growth. It also does a great job with helping corals repair their tissue & zooxanthelle if they had any issues as well.

I'd say that while it's undoubtedly helped my lps grow significantly faster, it's had a more profound impact on the few sps I keep. My sps really grew like wildfire after dosing aminos & carbs.

I use reef energy a+b from red sea. I have a 65g tank and feed 4ml of each a day.

I add aminos, not dose it

At various time over my long involvement with reefing I have tried various brands of amino acids. I have never specifically noticed any improvement in my sps and I have specifically noticed huge gains in phosphates.

I have a LPS euphyllia dominant tank, mainly torch, hammer, and frogspawn. I add Brightwell Coral Amino and see increased tentacle extention right after I add amino.

I still have Aquavitro Reef Fuel from before. The base ingredient is Chlorella, its a freshwater phytoplankton.
My question is, Does that feed copepods in my tank?
I notice more copepods on my glass after adding it for a week.
Is it due to Reef Fuel?
I also heard it drops PH?
