Curious how many of you feed your zoas and palys.

If so, what do you feed them and have you noticed a difference in growth or coloration?

Reef nutrition oyster feast mixed with reef roids. Definitely noticed growth. Once a week was a target feed and a small amount broadcast fed couple times a week. Be very cautious, a little goes a long way.

I would not recommend feeding your Zoa unless you extremely low nitrates and phosphates in your system and you had other corals that consumed the feed. If you were to use something like reefroids the zoa would probably only be consuming less than 1% of what you put in the tank. Most of the feed would be consumed by other organisms and also increase nitrates and phosphates in the tank.

So my advice is do not use coral foods unless your tank is packed full of corals or you have NPS as the trade off is not worth it.
