It's his fault I'm back into the hobby after a 15 year break. He got me a nano for Christmas......he has no one to blame but his self LOL
He supports it, doesn't understand it, and really doesn't want to...but does enjoy looking at it as well as all the joy it brings me makes him happy too

I floated the idea of a sw tank several months ago. Got a tank, got it up & running.
Then I got wife to look at fish & corals on LiveAquaria. " Can we have this? How about that?" I would say " Read the description, is it reef safe?" And so on

Now she is the lfs's best friend! They pull her aside and show her the newest corals they just got in. Yesterday otw to the lfs I told her "Okay set a $ limit on what you are going to spend before we get there. " She laughed so hard & sudden, she actually snorted. She spent $300
She buys & I take care of it.

Maybe why my wife left me lol. But now i am single and i can do whatever i want. Just bought leds and didn't feel guiilty.

Its kind of sad that many of my friends have no interest in aquariums. I find that there are not alot of people i can share my thoughts with. Thats why i love this forum.

I talk about it constantly with my family, they hate it. I can tell they get annoyed when all i talk about is my plans to get more fish / coral / tanks. My gf likes it when I get what she wants. My grandmother supports me big time, that's about it.

Loving this hobby is not be understood by others...I've taken breaks from it, but it comes back...when I was a little kid may mother gave me a fish tank, with four fw fishin it. She did it right though, gave me a heater, air pump, and all equip to make it all work out. Said would one day give me a sw tank too. That stuck in my head, and somewhat grew with me, became part of my interests...somehow I became a professional swimmer and love as hobbis scuba dive....so I can say it wasn't my fault I got into this!

None of the above, in my case, it's "she likes it but makes sure we don't go broke."
At first my wife was only concerned with the amount of time, money and space I was dedicating to this hobby. She's come around bit on time and space, even deciding she wanted to keep one tank that was originally going to be temporary. Now, she probably spends as much time as i do just staring at the tanks. She still watches my spending on it but that's probably for the best, I'd probably go overboard if she didn't and we have another, much more expensive hobby that take a good chunk of our disposable income.
