I'm curious to know how many reefers have a friend that seems to always know the simple answers despite all your experience and success. Or comes over to trade frags and makes a comment that gets you thinking about your lighting schedule or intensity. Makes you think about your pump flow patterns that are working but with the new idea will be more efficient. Or is willing to tank sit for you while you go on vacation.

Last week, my friend Todd (TJ) carpooled and sold corals with me at our Bob Moore frag swap, on the way home he checked out my tank and mentioned that he thought my LED's were set to too high of a setting and my corals were looking a bit washed out and pale. It made me look closely at them and I agreed to turn them down 10%. It's been six days and my corals are looking so much more vibrant.

Thanks Todd.

How many reefers here have a good friend that makes your hobby more fun?

Great thread!! I do. Its great to know someone who you can just call up and talk SPS and hit some of the local coral shops and trade on a whim.

I have a friend that I am constantly getting advice from he has been a great help also my cat is my feeding buddy if I even touch my tank while he isn't there he will come running up and bite me then watch me work on the tank or even just feed the fish

I agree, Todd is not only a great and very knowledgeable reefer, but also a wonderful man. Another is my long,...time friend, Scott Larson.
He's also extremely knowledgeable and a great man. He now has his own saltwater consulting business that helps individual's to large private zoo's, set-up, maintain and orders rare and unusual fish and corals from around the world.

I'm so blessed to know and have these two men not only as consultants for my loved hobby, but more importantly,... great friends !

Thank you Todd and Scott !
Kevin

My reefing buddy is R2R! I'm so busy with work and family I just don't have time (unfortunately) for club meetings, frag swaps, day at the shops.. So R2R is where I turn for my Reef humor, fix, help..
