If so, can you tell me what PAR your sunset monti has.....Mine has lost it's color and I think it is because I have decreased the light in my tank and I was hoping for a sampling of PAR numbers from people here.

thanks,
Darren

My mother colony is baking under 600 PAR. A frag in the prop tank is sitting in about 300-350 and has the same color, but better polyp extension. It grows better in my system when it's in lower light.

400-500 and sits high in the water column.
This is one of the most sensitive corals I keep. Any changes and it freaks.

I have one at about 600-700, while I have frags at the bottom of the tank which is 350-400 where they are. Mine are Tyree as well

The probes are, here is a picture of the one my club has.....

mine is off to the side of my halides, and i'm sure the par is low. i dont have a par meter for exact #'s though. mine holds its color and looks fantastic to my suprise. my superman on the other hand needs high par to hold its bright base color.

newer quantam par meter. using ati sunpower fixture for light.

Mine sits under about 350-450.

i don't know who's tank this was in before it was in the guy's tank i got it from, but originally, it came from the ocean, like the ones above.
meanwhile, when i got it it was as brown as a turd. i have it under 140nm and as you can see, it's starting to get some color.

I'm getting same colors as SDguy's sunset monti, but it's at the lower end of the tank at about 200 par the last I checked. I think loss of color can be due to water quality as much as amount of light, if not more.

my shines anywhere I put in, just set and forget and it will adjust to it's light conditions.

I have it in sand bed is the color is brighter than the one in high light. Don't know PAR (no PAR meter)
