When I have to work in my reef, I need a place to put things down. My tank is 7' long, 3' wide, and anything I put on the eurobracing ends up falling into the tank on accident. If I'm fragging stuff, I need a place to put some napkins, tweezers, glue, frag plugs, cutters, etc.

I few years ago I made this acrylic work surface with some 3/8" cast acrylic. It spans the tank and fits within the black trim, and is about 6" wide. I can use it to place a notepad and pencil when taking PAR measurements. I can place a coral or rock on it if there's some need to move things around. It can slide side to side to move out of my way as I work in other areas of the tank, and can be taken out of the way until next time. Today I used it while dosing Prodibio. It's easy to wipe clean, and takes up no space near the tank.

What do you use?

Dude you rock! LOL!

You found this thread already?

When I built my stand I also wanted a place to store small equipment and the chiller I had at one time when I still used MH lighting so I built the small stand to the right of the tank to match. It has a drawer for test kits, refractometers and small stuff and a door in the bottom for the chiller or larger supplement jugs.

That looks nice and clean. Nice to bump into you after all these years.

My tank related stuff has pretty much taken over the dining room table (tank is in the dining room). It works out well because we have a plastic tablecloth to protect the table, and we very rarely use the table.

I use to have a nice book shelf in my room and some how its turned into a aquarium supplement area, I keep anything aquarium related on it.

My home is kind of completely reef-related now, but you probably knew that.

I feel you its taken over my closets, book shelf, tables, and even has its own bathroom lol
