Yes, I also own a few other “Iconic” species such as a CBB and a Yasha goby.
I only keep one because I regret owning a pair, they become skin wreckers. I had a pair of Occelaris and they were bad for biting, so obviously I went with a cross between Occelaris and Percula… Smart move if you ask me haha.

Along with her I own a few uncommon fish but dang she is a favourite. I have a £100+ Tilefish but no, everyone looks at the clownfish.

I know the feeling - but with coral. Everyone loves the gsp and Xenia…what euphilia?

Yep, not for long though. They don't contribute enough to the tank for how much drama they cause. I will be looking to gift mine to another reefer in the near future.

Yes! I give up on buying “Rare” coral, everyone just looks at the cheap weeds. Frammer? None existent, Expensive Nem? Nope.
Even worse when they look at my Melanospilos Angel and go “You paid £119 for that?…” I have to make up the excuse of “It’s prettier under white lights”.

Yep
Currently just the one - Luxo is quite evil but I honestly couldn’t imagine not having a clown.
I think I got turned off of clowns after getting brook from one that hit my tank early on, they are just too agro for me too. They are cool though

For you, what is the main clown appeal? I personally don't keep them, but am interested in the views of those that do, and what about clowns makes them special to them

I have 14 clowns in various tanks. Almost always put a pair in. I personally love their personality and though they may be common i love having them. Sure they make me bleed occassionally, but not getting rid of them for that!

for me it’s the body shapes they hold, also it gives people some reason to look at the tank and “Look” at my expensive purchases. Even if they come back with questions like “Why though?”.

Their body shapes are unique and each species shows a different shape that most other fish don’t have!

Yes, I love clowns, but they’re not complete without an anemone. :)

Yes! You need an anemone or something similar to truly appreciate them, mine resides in a Weed we call Yuma Ricordea.
