Do you like built in sumps bettet or not?

I have been looking at the 25g nano size rimless tanks and having a hard time deciding if I want to go with a build in sump like most of the tanks or go with a under the tank sump. Just curious if people regret not getting the under tanks sump or not. I plan on keeping corals and 2 small clowns at max

A sump, versus an all in one setup, gives you a good deal more options for filtration. That said, in a small 25 gallon, your footprint is so small under the tank that you really do not have enough room to get much down there.

I do not think you are gaining much using a sump unless your 25 is on a larger footprint stand and you want to utilize a skimmer. Obviously, if you want to go SPS you will want to research a good bit more, but for 2 clowns and a few softies/LPS, you are fine.

I vote sump. After 20 years in the hobby, I wouldn't even give AIO a thought unless I was looking for a counter sitting tank and then I'd most definitely not be thinking a 25. Here' one of my tanks. It's a 22 gallon Fiji Cube 18 x 18 x 17. If you are planning on using a stand it makes perfect sense to go with a sump especially these days when you can find complete setups sold as a package. Back in the day when you had to buy from 5 different companies to put together a system, the options added up to much higher pricing. The package deals available today are hard to ignore.
