If I had this on my work .. wouldn't be good ... I already have two names at work ... hey stopthat and hey getoverhere !!!!!

Every morning I go downstairs and the first thing I do is listen. I can hear the pumps going. Then I touch the glass of the tank before the lights come on to test the temperature. Then I am ready for my day knowing all is well.

Have relocated a few months back and tank is still at home, I still travel every 2-3 weeks to see it and do some maintenance. Get daily updates and pics from wife but the anticipation before flying back is crazy.
The best part is I can notice growth or color changes more.
So guilty as well

The first thing I do is hug my wife when I come home.... then it's straight to the reef room. If I'm lucky, she's in the reef room when I get home lol.

Nope, my job provides me money and my four tanks takes my money. I enjoy aquatics but I don't think about it much while I'm at work. If I used my tanks as an income source, it might would be different. My tanks are very stable so on a lot of workdays, I only clean front glass and feed all the livestock.

[emoji137]‍♂️ my tank is my favorite show I can watch it for hours ..... I'm either here or on Instagram when I'm at work !!!!!

I think the worst is when you add something new to the system and have work the next day. I installed my skimmer and reactors on Sunday on my new system still tunning the skimmer. Being at work today all I'm thinking about is if my skimmer is going crazy lol. Hate to make a mess out of all my new equipment

HAHA! For real?

BOTH! HA!

How many of you at work or somewhere else think about your saltwater aquarium and can't wait to get home to tinker with it?

I travel every week for work so I set up a webcam so that I can view my tank at work. Between that and calling my 2 boys for updates every day and making sure they have done whatever maintenance is needed I survive until I get back home.

I am currently waiting for the delivery of my new fishkam camera , I will be working away for three months starting end of June ( home at the weekends ) and I'm a bit nervous about leaving my tank all week !

I solved that by putting my tank and display refugium in my office where I spend most of my day. I'll admit, I spend a good deal of time iwth my feet on my desk, just watching both fish and corals. And if anyone accuses me to slacking off, I just say I'm thinking about my plot, or characters etc. Writers can get away with just staring off into space. Or fish tanks...
