Do you need a microscope

I looked up pics but I still really have no clue what I’m looking for

They also leave eggs that look like a spiral.
 
Are they out mostly in the day or night ?

Sometimes both.

It seems that sometimes they are obvious and sometimes it takes a dip to discover them.

I would try spotlighting at night and see if any are out cruisin’.
 
Are those them the 2nd video might be better

The things blowing back and forth look like hydroids. They can sting Corals. I have had them and they usually die off on their own. If they are touching the Corals just pluck them out.
