Do you NEED a refugium to keep copepods alive and multiplying?

The back chamber does have a high rate of flow. it dumps into my return chamber. Will that be too much flow for the copepods?

wow. just looked at my recent ICP test and yea, Iron is at 4.63ppb. they suggest 20ppb
