Do You Power Off Return Pump and/or Skimmer Durring Feeding?

I turn off all pumps, especially because I have to do a lot of spot feeding (my fish are spoiled).

My goal is to never have to turn anything off, or do anything else for that matter. I'm not target feeding now (that's another goal: to never need to target), so I just throw food in and let it go.

My relatively new process is to chop up about 18 square inches of nori and dump it on the surface. It does not sink; it stays on the surface and goes around in circles with the flow. And it takes the fish about 6 hours to eat it all. So they get to munch continuous for 6 hours.

I use the ReefAngel and during my feeding mode for 15 minutes, I turn off the return and the skimmer. The WP-25's go down to 29% power to move the food around. My skimmer comes on 3 minutes after the return turns back on.

To target feed the corals I turn off all water flow.
To feed all corals in general, I turn off the return pump and turn on all power heads to dispense the food throughout the tank.
To feed the fish I don't turn anything off.

My Apex turns off my three Tunzes for 10 minutes, but I leave my main pump on during feeding.

To feed fish, I use feed mode on my jebao. To spot feed corals all pumps are turned off.
